Xbox 360 hard drive formatting

Hi all.

For the past few days I have tried numerous times to download my xbox live profile ontoy xbox 360, each time it comes up with error code 8007045D (wrong credentials) however this doesn't mean username and password are wrong. Upon looking at the forums it
suggested either deleting and redownloading the profile, but I didn't even have a corrupt version of it, so the next thing was to remive and clean the hard drive

Onto my main point

I remove and clean the hard drive but when I replaced It and turn on my xbox 360 it says to format the hard drive when I look in storage. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid so I'd there any way to use the hard drive without having to format it (which
seems like a problem not an intentional feature)

The Xbox 360 should be able to support external hard drives for game storage.

Is your Xbox 360 fully updated? Have you also formatted the hard drive with the Xbox 360?

If you're talking about the hard drive that sits on top of the arcade edition Xbox 360 if you've formatted that on a PC then that hard drive is essentially useless. The console can only read FAT32 formatted console drives, however these need to be in a very
particular file system structure for the console to read the drive. There's no way to format that hard drive with anything other than a Xbox 360 console and expect it work, it just won't, or it will and it will only appear as a USB Flash Drive.

When you rip music into the hard drive of the original xbox what audio format was it???

Is it the same format as the xbox 360 rip ???

It’s an intentional feature, Xbox hard drive’s have custom formatting that is not compatible with standard computer dries. You must use an official Xbox drive that is pre-formatted for the Xbox 360, Xbox one internal drives or not user replaceable

Hello . For games in one, the hard drive have to be 3.0. for multimedia have to be 2.0 or 3.0. also change the format of harddrive. When you connect a hard drive for games, xbox format the hardvdrive for adapting it to the console. I think that the 360
and one dont use the same format
