    Why do I have to add a credit card just to download a free game? I want to get Dirt 3 on my xbox one.

    Still can't download GWG 360 games on Xbox One even after newest update

    A child's account cannot acquire the Xbox 360 games from an Xbox one or xbox.com. If you have an Xbox 360, you should be able to download the games on there. If you want to download the Xbox 360 GWG on xbox one or xbox.com you will have to make your son
    an adult account. Sorry that's just the way it is until Microsoft changes it.

    At this time there has been no mention of the 360 January 2014 GwG selections nor if the One GwG will begin yet. You'll probably find the listing here

    The website has never been updated to work with the new currency system when purchasing 360 content, so you have to have a payment method on file. Even if it is free.

    GWG titles are only free during the month they were announced for as for BC if you dont have a 360 the only way you can currently download them is through xbox.com, although phil spencer has stated they are looking into a way to directly purchase the games
    on xbox one, any game that you have got already with GWG thats BC will show up in your ready to install section.

    I'm afraid that 360 content will require a valid payment option on your account (even for free content it is required) the only option that could work is to acquire the GwG 360 content via an actual Xbox 360 console on all other places, like xbox.com or
    Xbox One console etc it will require a valid payment option like a credit card.
