Xbox 360 guide menu keeps opening and closing on its own

Discus and support Xbox 360 guide menu keeps opening and closing on its own in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; my xbox 360 keep flashing the menu open and close all on its own, also shows a controller is connected even when there isn't one.     Xbox 360 guide menu keeps opening and closing on its own


    my xbox 360 keep flashing the menu open and close all on its own, also shows a controller is connected even when there isn't one. How do I fix this?

    new xbox 250gb disc tray opens and closes randomly by itself.

    I am having this problem now . The old xbox is opening and closing on its own. It also powers up on its own.

    Xbox disc tray keeps opening and closing.

    Hey I've been trying to play my games and the disc tray keeps opening and closing at random times.Ive been trying to download disc one for Grand Theft Auto 5 but sadly the disc tray opens on its own and cancels the download.Please I really need help.Also
    I have the Original 1st Xbox 360.

    I've had this as well. Press the guide button on your Xbox and wait for the menu to open. Once I do that and then close the guide, it unfreezes for me.

    Something else to try is giving the disc tray eject button a clean, sometimes dirt and grease from you fingers can trigger the touch sensitive button.
