Xbox 360 Graphic Glitches

Suddenly the other day purple and green glitches began appearing on the screen. I tried the console on a different TV and with a different HDMI cable with the same result. I tried swapping the HDMI cable for the composite one, also with the same result.

I don't have another one on me as of right now. Just the one I've had since I bought the 360.

Graphic Glitch

I've noticed that on certain newer games, I've had graphical glitches where certain items, like objects or environmental pieces, have a very obnoxious glitch where there are purple and green boxes all over the object. Example are my weapon sights in Battlefield
3, my weapons in Elder Scrolls 5, and a large amount of objects in Dragon's Dogma. I was considering this was an issue with the cable, as I'm using my default HD/AV component cable on my Xbox 360 Elite (Large, black model, 50gb or so.) This glitch is on on
HDTV at 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p, and even in standard TV setting. Would I need an HDMI cable to fix this issue? I noticed on somebodies XBox 360 Slim with an HDMI cable this glitch wasn't present, and on another XBox 360 Slim with HD/AV cables it IS present.

One issue for this is that the console may be behind on updates according to the support page so you could try updating it. Most likely this is not the issue though so here is another support page that could help:

I do, BC on Xbox 360 wasn't that great, out of 1,000 Xbox games, only 476 of them are playable on Xbox 360. Some of them play just fine, others suffer from more framerate drops, some occasional graphical problems, a few minor bugs & glitches.

I played GoW, Crazy Taxi and Perfect Dark last night, and all of 'em had these white dots somewhere in the graphics. Like EffEmmGee says it's like the polygons isn't sitting entirely flush with the surrounding polygons. It's a common problem with all games
it seems, and I've 100% never experienced it with my original 360. As I've been playing games for so long on my original 360, the differences in the graphics are quite noticeable, I swear it looks like games on the new S console is lacking anti-aliasing.

I think the question you need to answer is if these games are having the same issues on original 360s.

I threw Battlefield 3 into my rental queue at GameFly. I can try testing it when it shows up, but so far I've seen no difference between how 360 S and original 360 consoles render games.
