    Xbox 360 GPU problems?


    I have an Xbox 360. I was playing when suddenly the screen went into strange colors. In that moment, I restarted the console but no image appeared. I tried different HDMI cables and nothing. Then I tried with a composite cable and the same, the difference
    is that now, I was able to listen to the sound effects when navigating the xbox 360's menu. I would like to know if this is a GPU problem or what could it be?

    What type of GPU?

    The Xbox 360 has a custom built GPU made by ATI just for the 360. The Xbox One will have a new and up to date GPU.

    Graphics will no doubt be much improved on the Xbox One over the 360.

    What type of GPU?

    To compare the PS3 GPU vs Xbox360 GPU, the 360 is much better. But the PS3 has an 8 core CPU which makes up for the difference. Xbox 360 only has a 3 core CPU.

    Remember though that they also switched from a Nvidia GPU in the original Xbox to a ATI model in the 360. So backward compatibility was always going to be a problem for the 360.

    You sir, are a man with great taste. It's weird. That shouldn't happen. Try redownloading the game and clearing your cache? Try it without the HDD? If your games are installed to HDD or use any form of storage that storage cache may have had a funky time
    and corrupted. It's hard to say. GPU issues usually cause the console to crash with the lovely checkerboard pattern.
