    Xbox 360 Gold Membership


    We bought an Xbox live redeemable card to sign up for Xbox live gold. My son wants to play the destiny on Xbox live. Anyway we r new to this. How can we check if the code signed us up for Xbox gold?! Would he be able to play destiny on the Xbox. ?!

    I don't have a 360 anymore, and don't have an Xbox One, but I would imagine that adding the account to console will automatically open up multiplayer to all users on the console.

    My son has a gold membership on his 360. I don't have a gold membership. If I add my son's profile to my new Xbox One, then it will give me gold membership as well?

    If the gamertag you're asking about is the one you're posting with then it is currently showing as Silver and cannot access online games.

    Was this specifically an Xbox Live Gold card? How many months was it for? Where/how did you redeem the code?

    If it was redeemed on the website then it can take a while to activate on the gamertag. This can be sped up by heading to Settings>System>Network and run a connection test. After that the gamertag should show as Gold when it is signed in.

    If it was redeemed on the console by pressing the Guide button on the controller and scrolling left to select Redeem Code it should activate immediately.

    You can see what was added or purchased to a gamertag by signing in to commerce.microsoft.com

    If you redeemed a trial card with only days or weeks then that isn't actual full gold

    It only offers temporary multiplayer access and non ranked matches

    With destiny you need full gold to do coop or multiplayer functions including missions

    Full memberships has mnonths or one year

    On the 360 you need a gold membership for each individual account.

    If you have an xbox one you only need one gold account per console,then every other account on that console gets gold free as part of your membership.

    you can use your xbox one gold membership on your 360 also, but any one else on the 360 will need to buy their own gold time.

    You can't share gold membership among account in xbox 360. The other accounts need thier own gold membership

    Hello,

    The Home Gold features are specifically for the Xbox One, they do not do anything for the Xbox 360. If your son wishes to use his Xbox 360 and play online he would need his own Xbox LIVE Gold membership. As far as the Home Gold is concerned anyone on that Xbox
    One that decides to play on it with their gamertag will have a gold membership automatically as your account has a gold membership, it would be shared with the whole console.
