Xbox 360 Gold Games

Hello there, i'm having issue here, soo i have recently brought 3 months gold, but i didnot used yet because was waiting for this month, to download sleeping dogs, now, the thing is, i didnot used the gold because started to read stuff around forums
and got scared of using gold then not bein unable to download gold games, why?, well, i created new account since old one got lost, but the thing is, new account i created(like 3/4days ago), i made it to region of united states, because has more stuff then
the actually place i live (Portugal), such as, some demos appear there first, and got more programs, as tv you know, all that stuff. Problem is if i put the gold in this new US account i created and then gives me some error about region and cant download
the gold games, i was thinkin in migrating the account from US to Portugal, but will it work tho?, what about the email status? when i created the new email for new account, did added US stuff there to match xbox account. Soo i'm pretty lost, would appreciate
alot if someone could tell me what to do or what would work better, tyvm.

Hey Augmented, when downloading the games with gold your physical location needs to match your accounts region. Not all games are available in all regions. You are receiving an error message with redeeming your gold card because subscription cards are region
locked. So unless you bought the card from an American retail store it would not work on your account. I recommend changing your region to Portugal and downloading whatever the available game with gold is for your region

 

Hey there x24hrs, my problem is not the gold card not working, i'm 100% sure that gold will work in this account even bein US and i'm in portugal as i already did used in other account before, the issue is, if the gold games will be possible to be downloaded,
i hear alot of people for example, that can be in spain(live in spain) lets say, and they create account for US for the bonus stuff such as movies and all that, but alot of people say they gettin errors download the gold games, pretty sure is for having diferent
region of xbox to account, plus xbox check IP's in your location where you live, thats why people get region errors i guess, was gonna migrate the account from US to Portugal, but what if i put the gold after and go try download gold games and dont work? think
is suppost to work if i change region.

 

Ok i just did migrate my account from United States to Portugal, m i safe now to use the gold card and download Xbox Gold Games? will i get any type of error or something? would appreciate if someone could confirm to me, that i'm ready to go, otherwise guess

Unfortunately no one here can tell you 100% if you will run into any issues or not. However, because your account region now matches your physical location you should not have any issues download region locked games.

 

You'll face loads of problems if you put your LIVE region different than you physical region. I had that error message about consoles of my region do not the game's region. So, I've tried redeeming 1 month Gold on my Saudi Arabia account, because I live
in Saudi Arabia and my current account is set to USA. I tried downloading it from the region matching account, and it worked. I also thought the same by having many stuff on the dashboard, apps etc... But, there's no one that can guarantee you that you wouldn't
get errors.
