Xbox 360 games won't download on my xbox one

I have had some trouble with downloading xbox360 games. According the the message that follows after the failed download I can't use my account and I have to do it on xbox.com

World of Tanks move Xbox 360 to Xbox One

Yep,you need to download the xbox one version of the game,the 360 version won't play on the xbox one.

I don't get an error code. I only get a message that says that I can't buy it via xbox.com and that I have to complete the transaction on my xbox which I'm already doing. The game is Lego Star Wars TCS

Are you on a child account? Due to restrictions, you would have to download the game on a 360 console if you are.

If you purchased the season pass for Borderlands 2 on your Xbox 360, then this downloadable content will also transfer to your Xbox One. It's always been this way. However, it won't download on it's own, you'll need to manually download it. My Xbox 360
Fallout 3 game's DLC transferred over. As for game saves, you'll need your original Xbox 360 for that. When you upload your saves to to the Cloud on the 360, they will be available on the Xbox One.

If a BC game ran like was a native Xbox One game, you wouldn't be able to play other users on their Xbox 360 consoles. Playing an Xbox 360 game as if it was an Xbox One game wouldn't make the Xbox 360 games suddenly look as good as Xbox One games. Only
the Xbox One X has the power to 'Enhance' certain Xbox 360 software, and it still achieves this running through an emulation of the 360.

Hello, my xbox live profile is called "RinsableMLG" and today for some reason, I can't play xbox 360 backwards compatible games be ause my profile won't download on the xbox 360 servers. I can play xbox one games, but I can't play my xbox 360 games
and my profile won't download and it states "There's a problem with your credentials, blah blah blah". If I use my other two accounts, I can play on the xbox 360 games but not my RinsableMLG one. I seriosuly don't know what to do and I'm panicking right now.

I have the exact same problem. I was just trying to play saints row but couldn't connect to xbox live on backwards compatibility. So I deleted my account and now I can't download on backwards compatibility with the same error message as you.

As stated above, if you don't have an adult account on the Xbox One you won't be able to download Xbox 360 games. Even if they are free, the 360 and One use separate marketplaces and therefore, your permissions on the 360 don't apply to the One.

Same problem. Tried to play any 360 games on Xbox One, and the console simply won't download my profile no matter what. Tried everything listed in this topic and more.
