    Xbox 360 games purchase difficulties


    I tried to go to multiple sites to find an answer and it has been impossible to find anything close so here I am. So I've been trying to buy a digital xbox 360 backward compatible game on my xbox one (prince of persia) but it's so difficult, everytime I proceed to buy the game via debit card which always works perfectly for non backwards compatibilty games, it says that I have no valid payment option and gives me the option to change it and everytime I press on it it redirects me to the British website and locks me to fill in a British address and bank information although I live in the Netherlands. There is a local digital microsoft store with all the games but everytime I press on buy game it does that. I've also learned that it's not possible to use gift cards, so does someone know how to solve this problem if there is any solution? I couldn't get a single clear answer from anywhere else. Thanks

    I'm sorry to see you are having difficulty playing some games. For starters, were your old games purchased digitally on your Xbox 360 or did you purchase them as hard copies?

    Absolutely, this is still possible, as long as the game has not been
    decommissioned     or de-listed, you should still be able to purchase Xbox 360 titles. You can even

    play backwards compatible games on your Xbox One    .

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with adding a payment instrument on your Xbox 360.

    Its important account you are using on your Xbox 360 is at least a Sliver account in order for you to complete purchases.

    This can be done by signing into your profile on the Xbox 360 and from the
    Xbox Guide     selecting the option that says Join Xbox Live.

    You should then have access to downloading free apps and games from the Xbox 360 Marketplace. If you are still experiencing difficulties with completing purchases after this, I would recommend that you check out the

    Troubleshooting Xbox 360 Marketplace purchasing     article and see if some of these troubleshooting techniques work for you.

    Alternatively, you can
    add your payment instrument to your account     online and then completing your purchase from the Xbox website.

    I cannot buy games in the Xbox Store

    Hi Xgoan,

    There are two main reasons to why there may be difficulties purchasing Xbox 360 Backwards compatible content for your Xbox One.

    1) If you're trying to purchase the content with your Microsoft Account Credit it would only allow you to do so from an Xbox 360.

    2) If the account is a 'Child' account it would also block certain 360 content purchases to process out.
