    Xbox 360 games on Xbox one - save games and storage questions


    With the recent Black Friday sales, I purchased Lost Odyssey (a backwards compatible 360 game) from the store to play on my Xbox One. While I have had no problems continuing my adventures while Xbox Live service is available, (i have a gold acct. if it
    matters), I found that this morning, with service down, it could not sync to the cloud for my game save and said that progress would not be saved. Of course, I'm not about to start an RPG where I cannot save hard earned progress, so I've been trying to research
    if it saves a copy of my game save to the console hard drive as well as the cloud, or if it only saves to the cloud alone. In the "manage game" menu there is a 10mb "reserved" entry for saved games for Lost Odyssey, but is that a representation of allotment
    for the cloud, or for the hard drive, or something else?

    What it boils down to is this: I purchased a game to play on my Xbox One with the expectation to play it on my Xbox One. But it seems that I am locked out of continuing progress if Live is down due to defaulting to cloud storage for 360 games. Is there
    a way of storing the game saves to my hard drive? Is there a backup on my hard drive already and I'm just being paranoid?

    I would just like to be able to play the games I purchased without having to rely on the reliability of Xbox Live services.

    Hi, if you want replace your saves from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, you need Save games on your Cloud Storage!

    if the save game is correctly saved on Xbox Live via cloud storage and the 360 game is supported via Backwards compatibility on Xbox One and you are using the same account on Xbox One as on the Xbox 360 then the save game should be available.

    You don't access the Cloud storage on the Xbox One. It's managed automatically, and is not user accessible.
