    Lego Indiana Jones 2 asks for money although it is a gold game for free currently... why is this and how can this be resolved

    Adding my partners Xbox 360 Username to the Xbox One

    If you are gold just add her account to the Xbox one using the 360 details then go to settings and add her id into family it will then grant her ID the same Gold status you have at no extra cost, All Family members on the console get the same gold status as the main ID

    Unfortunately it is not possible to use credit on your account to purchase Xbox 360 games even the free Xbox 360 Games with Gold Games on an Xbox One. If you load a bank card or credit card to your account it should then allow you to complete the purchase.
    Please note with the Xbox 360 Games with gold when you add it to your cart it will show your payment method but the cost should be listed as Free against the title.

    Games on Xbox 360 marketplace don't work on Xbox One. I've already explained that the Xbox One isn't backwards compatible. So those games would have to be ported to Xbox One. Porting games costs money and time, so it makes no sense to port games and release
    them for free.

    Edit: Also I'm not handing any of my hard earned money to millionaires. As you can see I'm not the sucker paying for Xbox Live Gold.

    They have kept it on par as far as I can tell. Xbox One games are going to be no older than 6 months - 7 months old. Xbox 360 games have gone as far back as 07 I believe? I don't see anything that is given for free as a downgrade. Just one of those games
    is more then the cost of a months gold sub. Not only am I getting my moneys worth but I am getting games that cost more than my membership, twice over and then some.



    I see most feedback on the paywall (across the forums) being well received so far.

    Fortnite Battle Royale is free on the Xbox. There are plenty of add-ons that cost money for it, however.

    An account for online play is required for both Xbox (Live Gold) and PS4 (PS Plus).

    I think they should make EVERY game backwards comp.

    Xbox 360 games are converted to Xbox One compatible games. This costs a lot of money and manpower to accomplish, and the BC program has ended and no more games will be used.

    Emulating the PPC processor in the Xbox 360 in real time is not possible even on the most powerful enthusiast computers, and will not be happening any time in the foreseeable future.

    In a nutshell, Because servers cost money to run and maintain. The Xbox Live Gold subscription also provides more benefits that essentially recoup the cost of the subscription over a period of time. There are the monthly Games with Gold as well as weekly
    discounts on games in the store and additional savings during seasonal/special sales.
