    XBox 360 Games on Windows


    With the new Play Anywhere function between XBox One and PC, can I take a game I downloaded to my XBox 360 on Live and put it on my Windows 10 PC as well? If so, how?

    I'm doing some travelling and am looking to enjoy a little XCOM without buying a separate version for my computer. Thanks for any help you can give.

    No, Xbox 360 disc games can't be run on anything but an Xbox 360 console.

    (Even for downloaded games, there are only a few that are also available on Windows 8 or Windows Phone, but those are separate purchases from the Xbox 360 or Xbox One versions.)

    Nope, doesn't work like that (yet at least).

    First off the game needs to be designated as a Play Anywhere title. Right now all we know is that the Microsoft published titles at E3 are Play Anywhere. This means that your older 360 games won't be included. Who knows if they'll support that in the
    future.

    Are you trying to stream a game from Xbox 360 to Windows 10? That's not supported - the media center of old was for streaming videos and songs.

    There is a way to stream Xbox 360 games to Windows 10, but it involved using an Xbox One and playing the backwards compatible Xbox 360 on the Xbox 360, then streaming the Xbox One to Windows 10.
