xbox 360 games not working

My son has an xbox 360 that is a year old. We had many issues with our live account and finally got that fixed after almost 10 hrs on the phone with xbox. Now he tried to play Madden 13 and when the game loaded, it said cannot read disc. He also has
a problem with NBA 2K 14 in that the screen just goes to black upon installation of the disc. These discs are fairly new and unscratched. Strangely COD works without a problem. He is playing that now. Anyone have any suggestions. Other game discs were
working fine before, and now they are not, I really dont want to be on the phone with xbox yet again for another 5 hrs or more.

Xbox 360 games not working

At first, no compatible xbox 360 games were working, i even tried like 4 different games. I read somewhere to try DVD's and wallah they dont work either. The thing is, my xbox one reads xbox one games just fine, but when it comes to 360 discs or movies,
its a no go, i get a disc read error. Does this mean my disc drive is failing? and What can i do to fix it?

Really sorry to hear your console is having trouble with Backward Compatible titles. If it's also having trouble reading unfortunately it may need to be sent out for repair. Since this began have you tried a full power cycle on your Xbox One by holding down
the power button for 8-10 seconds and starting it back up?

If your Xbox 360 does not have an official Xbox 360 hard drive installed, then that will be why the game does not work. For Backward compatible games to work on the Xbox 360 you need to purchase the official Xbox 360 drive. An external drive will not work.

If the DLC is for the Xbox One version of the game, then no, you can't use that DLC on the Xbox 360 version of the game.

For example, Assassins Creed IV Black Flag is a Backwards Compatible Xbox 360 game that works on the Xbox One. However, if you buy Xbox One DLC, then this will NOT work on the Xbox 360 version of the game.

But if you get the Xbox 360 DLC content for a Backwards Compatible game, the DLC will work on the emulated Xbox 360 on Xbox One.

Obsessive Power

Games for Windows games only work on PC, they won't work on your Xbox 360. If you want to play it on Xbox 360, you'll need to buy the Xbox 360 copy.

You will need to buy Xbox One games, as the Xbox One is not backwards compatible. Xbox 360 games will not work on the Xbox One, and Xbox One games will not work on the 360. Sorry!
