    xbox 360 games not working on xbox one anymore


    I downloaded the xbox 360 game onto my Xbox one a while ago and it worked fine. But now this appears

    Do you own this game or app?

    If you have a game disc, insert it now. If you bought this online, make sure your signed into Xbox Live. If you dont have rights for playing it, youl need to get it at the microsoft store.

    I have Xbox live and the game worked fine awhile ago. But now that message appears. When i press

    See in Microsoft Store,

    It sends me to where you can buy it. But it says
    This product is Installed    . then Play

    When i press Play, the same message appears.

    I dont know what to do. xbox 360 games not working on xbox one anymore :(

    Also none of the 360 games work anymore and wont let me install them as well

    Hi,

    no that isn't possible. The installation for the Xbox One are game versions that are compatible with the Xbox One.

    The advantage on Xbox One is, if you have a 360 disc with scratches that doesn't work on the Xbox 360 anymore might be good enough to download the game on the Xbox One ! 😉

    Similar issue for me. I was playing Portal 2 one night with no issues and the next morning my xbox stopped acknowledging it or any other 360 games

    Darn, ok I'm afraid that was the only suggestion I had. Unless someone else on the forum has a different solution I would contact Microsoft support directly;

    When you go to Contact Us to get it to request a callback follow these steps:

    • Step 1 ----select Xbox One
    • Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
    • Step 3-----select show contact options
    • Step 4 ----select request a call from support

    Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option. Unfortunately, no support agent will be able to contact
    you from the forums.
