Xbox 360 Games not working on xbox one after gamertag change

hello i have this same problem and cant find any help the game in question is one of my favorites Fallout New Vegas, everytime i open the game it immediatly disconnects me from xbox live with this message “Sorry, this profile can’t connect to Xbox Live on
this console (xbox one). download it again.” i really wanna know whats happening

Xbox 360 Games not working on xbox one after gamertag change

So, basically i recently changed my gamertag and that was fine but recently there has been some issues about playing xbox 360 games on my xbox one these games worked perfectly before my gamertag change and i have went through a few xbox support sessions
and still nothing has been solved.

What happens is that i would start up a xbox 360 game on my xbox one and it would instantly say that i have been disconnected from xbox live and then i would proceed to log into my profile and my gamerpic is gray and when i select my profile it keeps telling
me that my profile wasn't completely downloaded and when i select the opinion to re-download my profile it would say Hi and it would download my game info when it just gets stuck and doesn't work i have let it sit on this screen for some time no
error code or anything i have tried deleting my profile on both and redownloading them and clearing my cache and nothing has worked so i basically cant play games like Tekken tag 2 or tekken 6 anymore on my profile, Strange how my sister changes her gamertag
and hers has no issues what so ever just my luck i guess, i have had so many xbox issues like this and honestly getting so sick and tired of it

I'm sorry to hear that this is currently happening. I would like to clarify one thing, does this happen only with games or also with apps such as YouTube or Netflix?

One step to troubleshoot this issue we suggest is to remove the profile from the Xbox 360 and re-download the profile as it could be a syncing issue after the recent Gamertag change.

Here’s how you can remove any Xbox profile from your Xbox 360 console:

1. Go to settings and select System.
2. Select Storage.
   Note If you don’t connect any external storage devices to your console, select
   Hard Drive. If you do use external storage, select All Devices.
   
3. Select Profiles.
4. Select the Xbox profile that you want to delete.
5. Select Delete.
6. Select one of the following:
   
   Delete Profile Only – This deletes the Xbox profile but leaves saved games and achievements

Here’s how to add your Xbox profile to any Xbox 360 console:

1. Press the Guide button
   on your controller.
2. Select Download Profile.
   Note Not seeing Download Profile? This means that you’re signed in under another profile. Press the
   X button on your controller to sign out, confirm, and then select
   Download Profile.
   
3. At the bottom of the Download Profile screen, select
   Download Profile.
