Xbox 360 Games from Disc Support

Most of my games that I have on Disc for the Xbox 360 do Not support the Xbox One, and thus I am unable to play them, despite how they can work on the Xbox One. I'm just wondering, and I doubt anyone at MS will do anything as if it's not a money heist. They don't care, but needless to say. I was hoping that an update can hool through in that it'll allow me to play these games, these literal ROMs in my physical collection to be downloaded and played. There is no reason why a game, developed for a Microsoft product, can't be played on a literal MS product.

This just seems very weird too me, and that its been going on for years, without any mention, or if so, I surely havn't seen any mention on this matter.

The backwards compatibility program ended in 2021 so no more games will be added to the list.

Any games that weren't added were down to either licensing or technical issues & that wont change even if it's a Microsoft studio game.

Games are ported toXbox One individually, There is no emulator on the system that can run anything being artificially restricted

Hey! You must own a supported Xbox 360 title on disc or digitally. If you have a supported digital version of the game, you can install the game from the "Ready to Install" section of My games & apps. If you have a disc version of the game, simply insert
the disc into your Xbox One console, and the game will download from Xbox Live. You will need to keep the disc in the disc drive after the game is installed to play the game.

Backwards compatible 360 games aren't read off the disc.

Instead, if the Xbox One detects the security sector of the 360 disc properly, it'll download the game in a special emulator container from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

No actual game data is used from the disc, so as long as the security sector on the disc is intact and readable, the scratches on the disc don't matter. Even games that stopped working on the 360 can be played on the Xbox One again because of this.

So make sure that your console is properly connected online when you insert the 360 disc, so the console can download the game from the Marketplace.
