Xbox 360 games download offline on xbox one

You can't install BC Xbox 360 games offline. You need a connection to Xbox Live.

When online the console will verify what the 360 game is, then it will download the repackaged version of the game. Once Fallout 3 has downloaded you can play it offline.

Really I didn't know that can download DLC while offline, but I know Xbox One can offline while downloading DLC. Can you give me tutorial how to download while offline on 360 console?.

I dont normally have internet access so i keep my xbox in offline mode if that means anything...

Backwards compatable Xbox 360 games don't run off their original discs like they would on a 360 console.

The disc is read to verify ownership, then the Xbox One needs to download the game from Xbox Live. In short, your console needs to be online.

Once you've downloaded the game you can go offline again.

First of all, you will need an active internet connection to download the game. Even if you have the game on disc, the console has to download the game with the special Xbox 360 emulator from the Xbox marketplace.

After the game has been downloaded, and you made sure your console is set as the Home Console for the account that purchased the game, you can play Xbox 360 games offline.

Since I don't own Skate, I don't know the online requirements for the game itself, so if the Xbox 360 version required you to play with an active online connection, so would the backwards compatible version.

If the Xbox 360 version was able to be played offline, so will the backwards compatible version work as well.

However: You will HAVE TO be online when you first start a Xbox 360 game to be able to download your profile into the emulated Xbox 360 of the game, and create the cloud save space.

After that, you could also play the game offline, if Skate on the Xbox 360 was able to be played offline.

I've already known and did that step how to set the xbox offline and but it doesn't answer my original question.

My question is if you need permanently internet connection (Xbox Live) to start/play Xbox 360/One games after you've downloaded and installed the game by disc or as digital version.

I've set my xbox as home xbox as well.

The reason about my question:

I don't want to download and install several of my Xbox 360/One "offline" games (for example Assassins Creed Series, Mass Effect Series, Fable Series, SW Battlefront 2, SW Fallen Order, etc.) with huge storage (5-60GB) with limited internet connection just
to find out that you can't start/play these games in "offline mode" after download and installation.
