XBOX 360 Games Don't Appear after I Extracted the DVD

Hi Ouligars!

Unfortunately, the Xbox will not play HD DVD's without the Xbox HD DVD player. I have one and they are certainly hard to find these days. If you have the Xbox HD DVD player, then a HD DVD app will appear in the Video tab. As far as I know, non-Xbox HD DVD
players are unsupported on the 360.

Of course, if you meant you found the Xbox HD DVD player, then as stated above, you will find the app for it in the My Video tab... Hope this helps!

having some problems myself.when i watch a dvd on my xbox one and then on my xbox 360 the image quality to me seems to be alot better on the 360 not sure why but i think microsoft need to properly sort things out on xbox one like the upscaler for one and
after the update not many but some games now appear to look muggier than they did before.i just hope that with the new sdk's going out soon that these issues get solved properly

Do you own any other Xbox 360 BC game discs are they currently working on your console?

For game to be recognised and download started you must:

• Have working game disc, free from dirt and damage
• Your Xbox One must have a working optical drive

If you don't have any other 360 discs, check if your console can read DVD discs. Place a DVD movie into your console and see if it will play. The disc must be a DVD, not a Blu-ray or Xbox One disc.

If it can recognise other Xbox 360 BC game discs and DVD movies, then the fault must be with that particular disc. If your console can not read any 360 BC disc or DVD's, then you have a faulty console.

I have only one xbox 360 and no other game consolers at home. I can only test it on my xbox 360 that has been hooked up with my Phillips 32 inc Full HD TV and DVDs of GTA V aren't dirty yet, so i don't think that the dvd's are the problem..

No I did not format my USB for Xbox storage. Will try that. They should mention that step on the support page however like I said I just extract the $systemupdate folder but win zip says the file is damaged and asks me to continue with the next file.
I extract to my pc then I copy the filer over to the USB and I have tried to a DVD as well. Thanks for your help
