Xbox 360 games and DLC I purchased digitally aren't appearing in my owned games library on...

Around 14 years ago,, before I merged my Xbox account with a Microsoft account, I bought several games and DLC on my 360. Now in 2022, I bought a Series X, having skipped the previous generation. Wanting to play some of my old games, I looked in my library of owned games on the Series X, only to find nothing in it. If I go to the store, it tells me to buy it again. Any solution involving purchase history doesn't work, as these downloads occurred before the Microsoft account merge, so it says there are no purchases.

Luckily enough, I still have my 360 and it still works. If I boot it up, I see the things I own on the hard drive and can play them. However, on its store also it tells me to buy the content again. I suppose I could just play the content on the 360 instead of the Series X, but its getting old, and I fear for its longevity.

Is there any way to prove to Microsoft that I bought these games so that I can play them on the Series X? Or will I be forced to buy them again? I understand that some games aren't backwards compatible from this era, so this only applies to the content that is.

    :)

Hello, Dren. Thanks for reaching out. I'm Lucas, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be glad to help you out.

If the content is not showing on your purchase history, there is no other way to prove you purchased the games.

No game is showing as owned by you? Or only a few ones?

Are you looking into your full library of games? Xbox button > My games & apps > See all > Full library > All owned games?

    Waiting for your kind reply.

Achievements do not prove you own a game since there are a couple (not allowed) ways to unlock achievements. Some players did this in the past and even got banned from this. So this is not a ownership proof to Microsoft.

Not being rude or argumentative here, but are you completely sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account on both consoles? You don't have any other Microsoft account?

Xbox 360 games and DLC I purchased digitally aren't appearing in my owned games library on Series X

Hello, Lucas. In my 360 library on the 360, it shows games that I purchased and downloaded 14 years ago and I can still play them today. On the Series X, if I go to the directory you specified, it shows an empty space with a box that says "Here's where you will find digital purchases" and it directs me to the Microsoft Store. Both consoles are on the same account.

I called Xbox support, and unfortunately they could not help me prove I own the games. The only proof I have is that I have achievements in many of these games, and it would be hard to get achievements in games I don't own, at least as far as I'm aware.

The only other thing I can think of that might help is that the games ownership might be tied to a different email address I used back then for my Xbox account, but the problem with this theory is that this email isn't associated with my Microsoft account anymore after the Xbox account-Microsoft account merger.

I don't know what else to do, but thank you for your concern.

All Games Backward Compatibility doesn´t work on Xbox One

Same here. My entire xbox 360 library is no longer appearing under my ready to install list. I can't start any 360 digital game, and it doesn't even show that i OWN the games anymore.

Hundreds of dollars worth of games gone......

    This is a horrible bug.

    Please fix this quickly.
