XBOX 360 Game-update Download Issue

Hello there epic xbox gamers

I recently bought a used xbox 360, because i loved it as a kid and wanted to relive my childhood!

The machine is white and has a hard drive slot at the top (i think it's the arcade model, really unsure tho). It didn't come with one. It has 2 xbox memory things (256 MB and 512 MB) so i put in a 32 GB USB 3.0 stick for my games.

I bought Banjo and Kazooie nuts and bolts online, and whenever i try to download an update (4MB file), it fails! This happened when i first booted the console too, with the XBOX live update (i solved this by removing the update and reinstalling).

I've played very far into the game already and i don't wanna restart everything!

Downloading games and playing them has no issues.

Please help me with this and if you need some more info feel free to ask!

Hey there SenneKaname

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for clarity and help with this game update problem. I can totally understand how this could be distressing. Resetting doesn't exist on the 360 in the same way as it does on the One. The closest thing to it is to rollback
your updates with won't clear your saves from either the cloud or your console. If you want to do that, try Solution 7
of
Troubleshoot problems with an update to your Xbox 360 console.

I recommend trying the steps outlined in You see a "Download Stopped" error message on Xbox 360 if you haven't already.

When you get the chance, give those steps a shot and let us know how that helped.
