xbox 360 game purchase problem

I am having the same problems. I cannot purchase Xbox 360 games on my Xbox One X or my PC whether or not they are free, but there are no problems in purchasing Xbox One games.

You need a valid payment option on file

Currency cards do not work . for xbox 360 purchases Web or xbox one

Or you can use a 360 to use the currency on your account

there was a version of forza horizon 2 for the 360 and a version for xbox one, as you own the 360 version you would need to purchase the xbox one version, problem is you would need to find a disc version as the game is now delisted for purchase.

You'll be able to purchase Xbox One games for sure, it's the 360 games you'll have problems purchasing. Do you know anyone who has a 360 at all ? you could maybe add your account to that 360, add your card as a payment option, remove your account from the
360, then you'll be able to purchase xbox 360 games on your Xbox One.

It's a weird situation but as it states on the link in my previous post, if you're not seeing a payment option then you need to add the payment option on a 360.
