Xbox 360 game download reaches 79%, then fails

Hello, please help Microsoft custmomer support. I bought Duke Nukem 3D on the Xbox 360 Xbox Live market place. The games reaches 79%, then goes to 0%, cycles between 79 and 0 a few times, then fails. It is similar to the wide spread problem reported one year ago. I have tried all the solutions suggested I could find in those forum posts, nothing works. How was the problem solved last year as it is not clear. Thank you.

Make sure there is enough room on the console to install the game. Consoles have less storage than a PC so some care to check the free space is important.

In my experience, when downloading some games to Xbox 360 the download will jump from 80 to 100%. Have you checked to see if it appears installed on the hard drive?

Hey! Not the same game but I’m having the same problem with downloading Mass Effect with Xbox Live. 79% and then it restarts. Apparently this problem, with people reaching exactly 79% before it restarts, has been happening to a lot of Xbox owners, especially
360 owners, since quarantine started. A few people have reported that Xbox has acknowledged the problem and said they’d fix it, but it’s still very frustrating.

It seems to be impacting most 360 games. We also cannot download games and hope microsoft sort this soon
