Xbox 360 game can't download profile

Hello!

Tried to play Alan Wake on my using in Xbox 360 compatibility mode. After launch game says that it cannot connect to xbox live and get a profile from there. However, network is working.

I've tried to make a factory reset, tried to switch between Ethernet and wireless connections (normally I use Ethernet), tried to hardcode ip address in network settings and tried to hard reset my console. Nothing helped

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Gh3 - Downloaded content?

No,any downloadable content is able to be accessed by any profile on that xbox 360.
exactly the same principal as downloading an arcade game on your profile,and your wife/partner/anybody else being able to play on theirs.

Backwards compatibility question

You can login, make sure you are logged into a profile on your xbox one, then hit the back and start (view and menu) buttons in x360 mode... That brings up the option to sign into profiles and download profiles.

Even if you use another xbox 360 it should let you login to a xbox 360 profile and it should just say it was last signed in on another system. I'd make sure you are signed into a profile, if you are trying splitscreen stuff make sure your friend signs into his xbox one profile before then signing into his xbox 360 profile.

Awkward, but it works. Been busting up borderlands splitscreen in bc for a couple days.

this back compat troubleshooting sticky a try. You've done a lot of networking troubleshooting, but there might be something there that can help you out.

Because you're running into a connection error, submitting a survey might not help you out. If the steps don't help you out, please post back with the following information:

Modem manufacturer and model

Router manufacturer and model

ISP

How many Xbox consoles are on your network

Exact error message from the Xbox 360 Dashboard

When you receive the error, it should tell you to test your connection. Once you do that, you will want to hit A for more details, and there should be a full error at the top of the screen in bold.

Region

From there, we will be able to determine our next steps. Looking forward to working with you!

- I am connected via LAN so I don't have modem

- Router model TP-Link Archer C2. WAN connection set up using L2TP on the router.

- I do not have other X-Box consoles in the network
- Dashboard says that it cannot connect to X-box live service. No error codes or something.
- When it asks me to test my connection I am forwarded to Xbox One settings in order to make a test. Test says that connection is fully working and shows no errors. Actually problem appears
only in Backward Compatibility games, Xbox One itself networking works as it should.
- Region is set to Russia, physically I am in Belarus

One more weird behavior. When Backward Compatibility game starts grey screen with status bar and spinner appears, it says something about "Defining your X-BOX 360 settings" (Dialog is
in Russian I can make a screenshot if you need it). However, nothing happens - status bar stays empty for about a minute and then game starts.

Sorry to hear it. If you have changed your gamertag/email/password then that can cause issues with BC games. Try loading one up then follow the steps at this link Backwards Compatibility Gamertag Issues? Solution Here

But I don't have any profiles in the game yet! It says there are 0 profiles and offers to import one.

The biggest issue I can see is the cross-region of your account. Unfortunately cross-region accounts aren't supported and may cause some issues, such as what you're experiencing.

When you ran through the steps, were you able to run through the steps to clear Xbox 360 cache on your Xbox One and then attempt a profile re-download?

OK, I see, I have occasionally changed country in my account to United States just before I bought the game.

As far as I know I can change account region every 3 month. If I migrate it back to Belarus in May will it help? And will I have issue of this kind with every Backward COmpactible game (I'd like to buy Red Dead Redemption too)?

Since Belarus isn't technically a Xbox Live Supported according to the Official list
HERE, we couldn't speculate as to if this would work or not. We could only recommend connecting to Xbox Live in a supported region for this to work properly. It's definitely worth a shot
though! In regards to Red Dead Redemption, you would need to be located in a region where the game has been officially released.
