    Xbox 360 Freezes During Bootup


    Earlier today I ran the latest update to my Xbox 360 Elite and was able to play a game afterwards without issue. A little later my game froze forcing me to perform a hard shutdown. After letting the console sit for a while, it now is unable to boot properly
    as it freezes at the Xbox logo. I have tried the troubleshooting tips of moving the console, and unplugging the power supply from the console for a short period of time, but I am still freezing during bootup and Xbox logo. What can I do?

    HOW TO FIX THE FREEZING GLITCH

    To anyone still experiencing this issue, I just finished the game on co-op on Xbox 360. The trick to avoiding the second player freezing is to join the game while the host is in a dead zone. When you exit the dead zone, all the players in the party then get synced up during the loading screen. After that no more freezing. Have fun smashing heads....

    I would suggest resetting your video settings on your console (I don't remember the key sequence during bootup, though it should be easy to find) and setting all settings again.

    No Dolby Digital or DTS via optical output?

    It auto downloads the update but you need to turn the Xbox On before it installs it. You will know because it won't respond to the "Xbox, On" command and you will have to manually turn on the console using the power button.

    It will do the rest by it self, you will also see a green progress bar during bootup.
