Xbox 360 freezes, and then deletes game data

    Xbox 360 freezes, and then deletes game data


    I was playing and online game with three other guys until the game just froze on me. I thought it was just a "regular" crash so I turned the xbox off and back on again. I open the game on the xbox and all my data is gone. On the hard drive, xbox internal
    storage and even on the cloud. The xbox was also nowhere near warm, which was very odd.

    Console freezing

    It could be that you have an incomplete or corrupted game data or save. Go to Xbox dashboard Settings Storage and look through every memory unit folder (Games, Apps ect.) from top to bottom inside, then If you see a game data or game save with the '!' mark
    on any delete it. If this isn't working. Move your Xbox 360 further from your TV as this could be over-heating it causing the freeze.

    Game freezing

    Try clearing your HDD cache. Link here as to how: How to Clear Xbox 360 System Cache | Xbox Support - Xbox.com - Xbox.com

    This will delete some updates, but you will lose no game data whatsoever. I've cured a few problems with freezing this way, one of which made my Ninja Gaiden II freeze every time I tried to use a certain weapon. If this doesn't fix your problem, I'd contact support (I know, Microsoft has a duzy of a support line, but it may be necessary). Good luck!

    My xbox just froze and when I turned it on it deleted everything on it what can I do to fix it other than redownloading everything again

    Hey mate, was the disc installed to the HDD by chance? If it wasn't, try installing and see if you have more luck because that's meant to stop a lot of freezing issues. If it is installed I suggest deleting and re-installing to see if that has any effect:

    Also if you feel it is something to do with the save file you can try moving it on to a USB, deleting from the HDD and then seeing if that truly is the problem:

    On xbox one, i don't see data about 360 game. I can only delete something named "reserved data".

    I've delete all xbox 360 data from "system-> stockage" option.

    So profiles was redownloaded but with the corrupted save.

    The game says i can remove it from xbox but like it's a xbox 360 game (included in Rare replay), maybe acces 360 data will be possible in november...
