xbox 360 forza horizon 2 disc not reading.

We have a Forza Horizon 2 disc for Xbox 360 that we got used. It is clean but some light scratches on it. At first it did not even recognize there was anything in the console and went to Open Tray. Then I cleaned the disc and now it gives a disc not recognized error (03-57-00). At least now it recognizes there is something in the drive!!! This is the only game with which we have this problem. I have looked on line and people started having this problem very soon after the game came out. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks.

Oh...I have audio CDs from the 1980s that work just fine. I do not understand why this disc would not work when it is no more than 7 year old.

Hi,

If your Xbox 360 BC game - in this case Forza Horizon - can't be read, it means one of two things.

1. The disc is damaged or dirty. Try cleaning it with a soft damp cloth. Fully dry the disc with a soft cloth and try again.

2. There maybe a hardware issue with your console's Blu-ray drive. Try another Xbox 360 game. If can read other 360 BC game discs, the issue with your Foza Horizon disc, not the console.

All Xbox 360 game disc have a very small video file that can be read by standard DVD players and the Blu-ray app on the Xbox One. This video will only play if the disc can't be read as a game disc. This is why the Blu-ray app is loading up on the console
instead of initiating the download of the backwards compatible game from Xbox Live.

In short, your game isn't running because as far as the Xbox One is concerned it can't read said disc, it doesn't know what disc in the drive.

there was a version of forza horizon 2 for the 360 and a version for xbox one, as you own the 360 version you would need to purchase the xbox one version, problem is you would need to find a disc version as the game is now delisted for purchase.
