    Xbox 360 fails to connect to the internet


    I haven’t used the Xbox 360 for sometime now but it was working fine before with the same internet, router etc. however now it fails to sign into Microsoft live and doing a network test shows it can connect to the router but not the internet.

    I have spent few hours googling solution and various Xbox support pages. I’ve factory reset this thing, factory reset the network settings, downloaded latest 2019 update onto a USB stick and updated it. I’ve tested with a mobile hot spot , checked if my game profile is banned, I’ve tried wired and wireless connections. I’ve exhausted all options.

    Is Xbox 360 still supposed to connect to the internet today or is it not supported anymore ?

    Any one having issues ?

    Also can’t find any official Microsoft support phone number, just puts you through the same troubleshooting guides I’ve done multiple times now.

    i just thought - i dont know if it makes any difference but i do have port forwarding set up to 3074 TCP/UDP

    I'm not sure how to contact xbox support as the support page just goes to some automated script bot. Btw this problem has been happening for quite a while as I had trouble signing into Microsoft Live like 3 weeks ago and only took the time to troubleshoot this extensively today.
