Xbox 360 Factory Reset to play GTA Online

I am having issue with playing GTA Online. A full description of the issue, as well as what I have done to trouble shoot, R*'s replies, and videos of the issue are present in the above thread.

In order to fix the issue, R* has suggested I do a factory reset on my console. What is the exact procedure for doing as such?

My account functionality

Today I purchased 3mths xbox live to play Gta online with my son. When I did his it worked straightaway. Mine keeps saying that I do not have account permissions to access gta online. I have reset all family filters on my xbox 360 S console but it still
doesn't work. It's the only game I play.....can anyone help me before I have to cancel it and cry. Thanks.

This is how to reset your Xbox 360 console to factory settings:

Remove all disc from your console.

Turn off your device.

The turn it on using your controller.Press and hold the Guide button until it turns on.

While the device is booting, press and hold the Y button + right trigger. The Xbox 360 logo will appears (keep the button pressed)

The device will restart and you'll get the Xbox 360 logo again.

The settings are now reset to default.
