Xbox 360 extremely slow + cant download game updates

I bought an xbox one back in early december and havent touched my 360 until recently. I've found it to be EXTREMELY slow; startup takes 5 minutes+ and almost none of the tiles load when it finally does get to the dashboard. everything feels delayed when
i try to move between tiles/tabs. When i try to launch a game that needs an update, it stays on black screen for a good 30 seconds before the popup for update comes up. as soon as it starts to download, i get an error code: 42FE-0000-D080-0200-D000-0185.

Ive already tried deleting my profile and redownloading it, ive tried unhooking the xbox and internet for extended periods of time and restarting them, and ive tried clearing my system cache multiple times. I took out my hard drive and the xbox doesnt seem
to have these issues at all. i plugged the harddrive back in, and the same issues are occuring.

Same thing happening to me. I'm on NBN also. Instead, my games are stuck in an update loop. Only thing that actually works is disconnecting the network and also clicking on "Go offline" in network settings. Then you should be able to reload your game
fully and play it (if you have the disc that is). As soon as you reconnect the network though, it'll get stuck in a mandatory update loop and will not let you start a game...

Also, my NBN is 90mbit Download & 50mbit upload. Still my games refuse to update at any rational speed... am getting sub-1mbit speeds and recuring "download stopped" notifications.

 

My game downloads are extremely slow, sometimes stop, and an error occurs. hard to download???

Extremely slow game downloads on my brand new xbox one. Sometime will download fine and then an error will happen and keep happening and stop the download. Then after restarting and reinstalling the game sometimes it will complete the download but then I
cant enter the game. Also once the game downloads, it seems to LAG/Slow down everything else on my xbox... Please Help!

 

That error code suggests an updating issue. After removing the drives and putting them back in, if you're having the same issue you should contact phone support.

More than likely due to the hard drive itself. I would suggest contacting phone support to see what they say or you could try purchasing a new drive and see if that improves performance.
