Xbox 360 Error Xbox live

So I got my Xbox 360 after 4 years from the attic it works perfectly, has access to Internet (which I can confirm with the Xbox live test) but after it wants to connect to Xbox live comes the following message:

A system upgrade is required to log in to Xbox LIVE, but the upgrade is currently unavailable

I've been trying for 3 days now to get it started again and have also made the latest update via usb on it

I wanted to ask if there is a solution to this problem or if I could only use my console offline. I bought many games online thats why i need an answer

Think xbox live is down I'm getting same error. Service status timed at 22:18 says check back in 30 mins for update

I have the same issue. When i run the network check it even says im connected to xbox live, but when i try the update it fails. I finally connected an ethernet directly from my xbox to my router and that allowed the update. Whenever i have an update however,
i have to do the direct connect to my router. I have tried all the troubleshooting tips, clear system cache, delete my flash drive, ect, but that does not work. Would love the answer so that i didnt have to have a cable running from my family room to my bedroom,
where the router is located, everytime i have to run an update or if i want to play online.
