so, i was going to redeem a code for 12 month xbox live and i put the code in right and the error message would pop up saying either this payment option is not available or that my billing infor or something was locked, what's going on?

You see the following error code and message when you try to make a purchase through Xbox Live on your Xbox One or Xbox 360 console:

Purchase pending.

Status code: 80153021.

This may mean one of the following:

The Xbox Live service is temporarily unavailable.

Your Xbox Live Gold membership or Xbox Music Pass has an outstanding balance and new purchases are being declined.

Your PayPal account country does not match your Xbox Live account country.

Your account has incorrect or incomplete billing information.

Solutions

To resolve this problem, try the following solutions.

Solution 1: Check the Xbox Live service status

Go to the Xbox Live status page to see whether the service is up and running. If there are any service alerts, wait a while and then try again.

Solution 2: Update the payment option for your membership

If you have an Xbox Live Gold membership or an Xbox Music Pass and you receive this error code when trying to make a purchase, it means you have an outstanding balance and need to pay this amount before making any further purchases. Usually you have an outstanding

Solution 3: Use another payment option

Can't resolve my problem this has been going on for ages... I'm trying to purchases free Xbox live since they are offering me a special deal but I keep getting this *** error. I tried changing my billing account.
