service up Xbox stores: up Accounts: Up Matchmaking : up really bugging me my account should be paid up?? can't check the balance because the button to check accounts on the isn't available and I can't seem to figure it out on the computer. it keeps saying
there's an error and the error status report is ... ugh never mind can some one help or explain what is going on??

Quick question, well two really. What was the error code? Did you ask google what the error code meant?

Also, if the xbox is having status issues that can cause stupid error codes to drop. Usually though once you google the code you'll know what the issue is, and if the issue isn't related to the internet, i'd still hit up status page for xbox just to make sure.

Which i'll do before i hit post. Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage seems everything is normal right now, so hit us up with the error code, i'd try again though.

 

Same problem here, its a problem with xbox live not your connection or system as they like to lead you to believe. I wouldn't do anything drastic like formatting harddrive etc. Ive tried manual update from their website that failed to download as well Im
personally going to play wii lol. Just play the waiting game Microsoft are not forthcoming when they have internal problems.

If you are still unable to download the update, copy the update from your computer to a USB flash drive by trying the following steps:

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system. For information about how to format a USB flash drive, see the “Format a USB flash drive” section of Xbox 360 USB flash

1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
2. Download the update file.
   
3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
4. Unzip the file. If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
   
5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your USB flash drive (for example, E:\). Do not copy the contents to another folder on the USB flash drive (for example, E:\Files).
   
6. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
7. Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.
8. Restart the console.
9. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

Xbox 360: Will not update starts then stops updating, error code 42FE-0000-3080-0506-8007-2EE2

There is nothing wrong with my internet connection, tried to manual update with a usb stick, download stopped at 88% 3 times in a row.

Internet speed 1.3mb/s. So problem is with live network not user.

Its an ISP problem after all that, went to a friends and downloaded no problem. Ignore the suggestions that your xbox gives you. Clear cache then switch off. Connect to another network. My ISP is Telecom/spark NZ
