Xbox 360 error code: 42FC000000800300D0000185

i came home.from work turned my 360 on and it has a system update so i accept it and everytime.it gets halfway through the update it comes up with that error code

Any one heard about Error code E25 ?

Quick question, well two really. What was the error code? Did you ask google what the error code meant?

Also, if the xbox is having status issues that can cause stupid error codes to drop. Usually though once you google the code you'll know what the issue is, and if the issue isn't related to the internet, i'd still hit up status page for xbox just to make sure.

Which i'll do before i hit post. Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage seems everything is normal right now, so hit us up with the error code, i'd try again though.

 

I am getting the exact same problem, called the support they couldn't find anything when they typed in the code. I don't know how to fix it but I sure would love to do so!

 

I had the same message come up. i fixed it all i did was go in to my hard drive and look for anything that was corrupted and deleted it. it just so happened i had a few avatar items that were. hope this helps!

Please give the following steps a try:

• First, clear your Xbox 360 system cache 3 times.
  
• Power cycle your Xbox 360 console.
  
• Once your console is powered on, try downloading the update again.

If you are still unable to download the update, copy the update from your computer to a USB flash drive by trying the following steps:

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system. For information about how to format a USB flash drive, see the “Format a USB flash drive” section of Xbox 360 USB flash
drive support.

1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
2. Download the update file.
   
3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
4. Unzip the file. If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
   
5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your USB flash drive (for example, E:\). Do not copy the contents to another folder on the USB flash drive (for example, E:\Files).
   
6. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
7. Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.
8. Restart the console.
9. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

st fixed it to if you go to your hard drive and click on avatar u will see two this corrupted I have just deleted them to things and the update worked
