Xbox 360 error code: 417F42FE16000700C000000E

Will Not let me update my console, my internet is fine. I even downloaded the file to a USB drive and tried that way, still gave me the same error code. Would appreciate a fix to this... Been off the Xbox for awhile now because of this.

Quick question, well two really. What was the error code? Did you ask google what the error code meant?

Also, if the xbox is having status issues that can cause stupid error codes to drop. Usually though once you google the code you'll know what the issue is, and if the issue isn't related to the internet, i'd still hit up status page for xbox just to make sure.

Which i'll do before i hit post. Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage seems everything is normal right now, so hit us up with the error code, i'd try again though.

Sorry to hear about the update issue. I found your post in the error code forum and moved it to our Xbox 360 forums.

I see that you have tried updating through a USB drive, but I recommend following each of the steps on our

C000-000E Error Solution page to make sure all steps have been tried. Visit that page, and then try each of the solutions on our

Xbox 360 Update Solution page.

If after trying every troubleshooting step on both pages I linked fails, the best option is to repair your Xbox 360 console through our Online Service center.

Thanks for no help at all... Ive tried everything I can, it keeps prompting me to download the update and it fails everytime without fail.. I cannot send in my console for repair because like a good console owner, I clean my console out from dust a debris
so its void for xbox to work on it.... Nothing works and your answer just makes me angry because I knew both those pages exsisted and Ive tried everything.

I'm sincerely sorry to hear about the frustration. I linked those pages because you didn't mention you tried those steps, and I wanted to make sure you had everything you needed. If you did try every single step, including updating with a DVD, then your
console will need to be replaced.

I can totally understand your frustrations and I really hope you get up and running again soon!
