    Hi.

    My console is an Xbox One X. For a about a week or so, I haven't been able to connect to xbox live in any of my retrocompatible games. It's like the emulator doesn't connect to the internet, even though the main console is connected and works fine with current generation games. That's why I can't download my profile and so I can't play anything. I've tried reinstalling the games, reseting the console, switching between wired and wireless connection, alternating the MAC address, changing the port number, and of course hard rebooted the console and the router. Nothing has worked so far.

    What do you suggest?

    Installing Xbox one games

    Xbox 360 (backwards compatible) games require an internet connection to be loaded to the xbox one due to the emulator.

    I understand, then what you should do is the following

    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

    On the Manage storage devices screen, select:

    Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they’ll still be saved to the cloud.

    Clear local Xbox 360 storage. This deletes Xbox 360 games saved locally, but they’ll remain in the cloud.

    Thanks for your reply.

    All my backwards compatible games have the same problem across all accounts. It's like the emulator can't even connect to internet.

    When i try to download my profile from the dashboard, it says it can't connect to xbox live. Like if the console wasn't connected at all (but it definitely is).

    I understand, then what you should do is the following

    I did this and then, by suggestion of a friend, changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4

    It works fine now.
