Xbox 360 Emulator App

I want to pitch an idea about Microsoft creating an Xbox 360 emulator app for use on all Xbox One consoles, this app will be capable of recognizing every single game released on the Xbox 360 console. I don't know why Microsoft never considered doing this,
is it too expensive? Too time consuming? Do they just not care? I mean sure, you have the actual console to play 360 titles but what if you don't? Are you gonna shell over 200-300 bucks or would you rather pay for an emulator that costs 60 bucks?

That whould be nice! But i will spend mor time and money on my 360 anyway.^^ Got so many unfinished 360 games here.

U can always set it atop a keg and call it the xbox and beer...or a bottle of liquor and it can be the xbox rum...fun for all.

Hey MasterAetos,

I think you're idea could work just fine but the emulator currently in the Xbox One is running in the background which would have to difference compared to an app. The reason why more Backward Compatible games aren't available because Developers and publishers
of these Xbox 360 games don't support the idea of bringing the game backwards compatible or aren't ready for it to be released to next gen users. I don't know the full story but i'm certain this is among one of the reasons. I really wish all games could become
native to the Xbox One but it takes time and some publishers have other ideas like remasters or definitive editions for next gen. This is only my mere opinion take it as you will. Hopefully we will see more titles coming soon.

Nice idea, but the emulator and the games each need to be tuned to each other. Which is why they are relaxing titles a few at a time. If you go on the PC and download any emulator, you find the same issues where some games will only work with some emulators
and there are loads of other patches and things you need to load along side.

Think of emulation as translating English to Chinese then back again. Then every game as a different book.

Not gonna happen like that. But I wish we could just launch the Xbox 360 Dashboard if we wanted or Before starting a game. Imagine a Nostalgia app to go and look back at all the 360 Dashboards over the years, damn I miss the original blades, that one was
perf.

ps. Also similar to what you're saying if we did Have the 360 Dashboard on Xbox One it would be great if you could Sideload apps and ie. (games).

If you continue to have sign in problems on the emulated Xbox 360, try the following:

Go to the settings and under storage, clear the Xbox 360 local storage.

Then launch any Xbox 360 game, and press both the Menu and View buttons (the small buttons next to the Xbox button). Then download your profile again.

Provide your Microsoft Account email and Password. Should you use Two Step Verification (and you should), then go to

https://account.live.com/Proofs/Manage and create an app password. Use that app password instead of your regular password to sign in on the Xbox 360.

The status of your Home Console setting has no meaning on the emulated Xbox 360, as the (emulated) Xbox 360 doesn't have the concept of Home Console sharing.

The Xbox One program that launches the Xbox 360 emulator already checked, if the license to launch the backwards compatible game is there.

IceStorm III

There's no Xbox emulator. There's no 360 emulator. There's no PS3 emulator. There are attempts at the first and last, but they are a far cry from what is required for complete emulation.
