XBOX 360 E Won't turn on, tried official troubleshooter, warranty not yet expired...But, ...

Hi,

Recently my Xbox 360 E used to have a red ring light that could be avoided after a few restart attempts. Then just tonight, when I tried turning it on trough the controller, it would turn on, followed by the sound of the fan running full speed then after
a few seconds then a permanent red light would show. Then after unplugging and re-plugging the power chord, it does not turn on anymore. No fan sound, no lights. The only light is an orange light from the power supply. I was relieved for only a few moments
after finding out that the warranty expires Sept. this year, but after trying to request a repair service, I found out that they do not accept P.O. Box addresses. What else can I do? Any advises?

Xbox one won't turn.

My xbox one won't turn on and there is no light on the power supply. I've tried all the different troubleshoot solutions. How do I go about getting a new one. It's still under warranty.

You waited several months after receiving your console to even turn it on and see if the issue was resolved? It sounds like your warranty has expired and you are unable to return it again. Xbox is not going to do you a favor if you are out of warranty, they
will allow you to send the box in for service if it is under warranty and you have done troubleshooting. If you send the same box in several times they will typically swap it out for a new one.

My 360 would freeze when streaming music from a network share whenever you changed songs while in the menu. I sent the console in three times, each time I would test the Xbox after a month turn around replicating the same issue. It later was fixed when they
released an update to the user experience. This was several years ago but they did just release another update to the experience today which has reported bugs.

If you want to try and troubleshoot it yourself you could try and find a buddy to swap hard drives with, this should at least point to a console issue, or a hard drive (possible profile) issue. Factory resetting the Xbox is an option if they haven't already
told you to do it. You could use the current box as a trade in for another one to keep costs low.

Have them ship to your home? There's nothing you can do to fix it yourself, you have to send it in. It's free, and really, a P.O. box for something that expensive...I wouldn't.

I just want to buy one outright, not try my warranty, as it's expired. Again, this is for an Xbox 360 Slim(the previous model before the new E series).

Same here but no power strike. Unit just turned into a paperweight overnight. Tried all the troubleshooting but no joy. Downloading the diagnostic tool but have no hope. Xbox Day One edition = lemon. The sensor died a few months after the warranty expired.
Now this. Very NOT happy.

We won't know until later, but if you call MS you may be able to extend the warranty on an Xbox One a second time. For the 360 it's possible as long as the extended warranty hasn't expired.

This time around it shouldn't be necessary.
