    Xbox 360 e power problem

Every time I plug either one of my power bricks in their always red (and I ve try letting them cooling them in multiple ways but they are still red I've even and I'm not kidding plugged the into every outlet in my house and nothing) but when I plug em in
to my console they are red but when I press the eject or power button both the power brick and and console button glows green for 3 sec then stops and the power brick returns to red

heres what I'm hoping you can answer

    What's happening

    What's wrong

Is it the console or the brick or the outlets( I live in a 1952 house)

    What's the solution

one more thing that might help I bought this xbox 360 e online but when it first arrived it came with with a 360 slim power brick and when I plug it into the wall its yellow which means it works just it isn't connected to the
console is what I'm told and I thought it could be my old houses outlets cant handle the higher voltage of the 360 e brick but it can support a lower voltage from the 360 slim brick

    :)

This is more than likely the power brick has failed. Same thing happened to my x360 and the reason I updated to Xbox one X. Time to update to a new console I suggest.

Either the next gen Series S/X models or XBox one S/X.

You won't look back, but will wonder why you didn't update earlier.

All I can suggest is either get a replacement power brick or buy a old x360 cheaply to get the brick from it. Make sure you get the right power brick for your model.

I bought an old one, didn't check if it had the same power brick as mine (input plugs were different). Search online for 3rd party power brick replacement.

I couldn't be bothered and bought a new gen console.

Shop around I'm pretty sure you'll get a good deal with those that traded their XB1 S/X for a new Series gen S/X.

The thing is I cant afford a new console and if I trade in to gamestop the console, the controller, and the power brick are each worth a penny so do you have any tips on where to sell the console and accesories to help me pay for a a new console that would
    be very helpful

But thank you for the advice

Thumpah da Wolf, thank you for your reply buddy.

    i got 2 options now.

    1. Get a stabilizer.

    2. Get a 220V power supply cord(which is recommended by experts)

I just need to know which will be the best option.

Xbox 360 E power supply problem

Hello SinfulBoost61740, because the power supply you had was built for running on a power system of 110v at 60hz , and you've connected it to a 220v at 50hz outlet you've likely "fried" your power supply, but luckily that's basically what it's intended to
do to save your console and you from catching on fire.

In the future, you'll really want to get a world power converter, as it's not just the voltage that is different outside the USA, it's also the cycles per second of the AC voltage that will wreak havoc on your sensitive electronics. With that, since you've
likely "popped" the fuse in the power supply after overloading it, you're more than likely going to have to get a new one of those as well. Sorry I don't have much good news for you, but be happy it didn't end up being any worse than it did. Best wishes, and
let us know how you make out.
