    Xbox 360 E Overheating


    My Xbox 360 is consistently overheating. The console sits in a wooden crate with several open slots so I do not believe ventilation is an issue. It is in a very dusty room and I have attempted to take it apart and clean it but this did not help the problem.
    The system consistently shuts off after approximately 10 minutes whether I am playing a game, watching Netflix, or doing nothing. After shutting off, the system sits for two to three minutes and then the fan blows on high power to cool it down. I can then
    turn my Xbox on again and it will run fine for however long I have it on. Thoughts?

    Xbox 360 E Overheating

    If by "attempted to take it apart" you have tampered with the console by voiding the warranty there is no possibility that we can help you.

    In the contrary if you haven't actually opened your console my suggestion would be to send it for repairs: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-one/warranties-and-repair

    I took the console apart and cleaned out dust from the heat sink, that's all I did. Would that void the warranty?
