  1. Xbox 360 E: Fan replacement VS USB cooler/intercooler

    Hello everyone!

My Xbox 360 E fan doesn't spin whenever I boot it on, resulting in an automatic shutdown after a couple of minutes of activity, even though it is cleaned and without any dust covered on it, so I thought of two solutions: Either I connect a USB cooler/Intercooler
into my Xbox, or replace the inner fan with a new one, either manually by myself (mostly to save money and since I know how to disassemble and reassemble a console). My primary choice is the first option (connecting a USB intercooler/cooler, such as for exemple
the Nyko Intercooler STS), as it is a much quicker and easier procedure than having to replace the fan manually. My question is: Does the intercooler send air into the fan inside the console and make it spin, and if so does it make the console fully functional
or will it shut down either way? Hopefully you made a point out of what I tried to imply to you. Thank you, and happy new year!

    :)

Hello, I am pretty sure that Xbox discontinued repairing Xbox 360 consoles, so the link you provided won't help with much. Thanks anyways

There really are no user fixes for consoles. You should contact support directly for a repair. https://support.xbox.com/contact-us

How to position the Xbox advice?

why not do what i do and buy a laptop usb cooler for the underneath...even without plugging it in it helps as it raises the 360 up and allows for increased underneath airflow.

with the laptop cooler running the 360 will have a noticeable cooler airflow via the main fan output grill so its obvious the usb fan aids cooling.
