    Xbox 360 E Display


    So when i am trying to set the resolution to 720p like usual, it starts showing this wave of blue and red static dot line things, but when its 480p its normal just only half the screen shows, i am using HDTV and this is not normal. I need help immediately.

    Hello Evan_532,

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We need a little more information to ensure that we provide the correct solution. Are you using RCA cables or a HDMI cable for your console? Have you attempted to connect your console to a different television?
    Have you attempted to plug your video cables in to a different port on your television? Did this issue start occurring after a system update? Be sure to let us know the results!

    If you have the S or E model Xbox 360 there is an alternate way to reset the display settings.

    Xbox 360 E or Xbox 360 S console: To reset display setting on these console models, you can also just turn off the console and then hold the power button on the front of the console down for about 10 seconds. (The lights will flash several times.)

    no I'm on a xbox 360 S and the error code that displays is E 69 its my hard drive how can I fix it i have no usb keys and all my backups are in hard drive

    Have you tried this:

    "As the console starts, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger on the controller. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.
