    XBox 360 E Console Internal WIFI Capped at 6mbps and slow


    E Console (Model 1538) Hello I thought it was the internal Wifi card gone bad, but after testing with two other cards out of my other XBoxes my speeds are still very slow on this XBox and capped at only 6mpbs. Thanks, Any suggestions?

    OK... so I troubleshot with an old DIR 655 router and got 39 mbps right next to the 360 with a 92% signal. I took the 655 downstairs and set it up next to the DIR 827 and got the same 39 mbps with a 68% signal. It looks as if there's some sort of compatibility
    issue on the DIR 827. I'm open to recommendations, but it looks like I'll have to clear this up with DLink.

    Thanks for the recommendations. Already placed it 2 feet away from the router and got the same thing. All other devices in the house connect at over 100, 5ghz stuff goes up to the 250ies

    MASSIVE data usage for latest update

    I've a 15GB allowance, and it's supposed to be capped. Chargeing by usage is only beyond that 15GB allowance
    and if the cap is lifted.

    I have no other option to get online living in rural Ireland... The Eircom network is stuck in the 1960s unless you live in town. Like I said, landline broadband is less than 1Mbps and Xbox Live needs 1.5Mbps. The mobile wifi can supply 6Mbps.

    Speaking with Vodafone, they are minded to waive the charge as their cap didn't kick in and cut the connection.

    Well no AA most 360 consoles don't come with WiFi unless you have the adapter on the back with the antenna which you can't. Miss on elite pro or core consoles

    Or if you have a Xbox 360 s or e whoch comes with wifi built in
