Xbox 360 downloads failing

Other account failed to download as well, so it does seem to be limiting the 360s from downloading large files. I'll see if I can figure it out myself, but if anyone knows how to fix that, it will be greatly appreciated.

What we can attempt to do to troubleshoot the Xbox 360 is to do a roll back on the Updates. This will cause the Xbox to reinstall the latest Xbox 360 update.

Follow these steps:

1. Clear the system cache. To do this, see the "Clear the system cache" section above.
   
2. Roll back and then reinstall system updates. To do this:
   1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
   2. Go to settings and select System.
   3. Select Storage.
   4. Enter the following button sequence: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
      
   5. Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will restart automatically and then download the updates again.
      
3. Reset your network hardware. Here's how:
   1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.
      
   2. Turn off your Xbox 360 console by pressing the power button on the front of the console.
      
   3. Wait 5 minutes.
   4. If you're using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.
      
   5. Plug in the rest of your hardware and try to connect to Xbox Live.

Unfortunately, that also did not work. I'm attempting to manipulate settings in my router to fix it, but so far, nothing has succeeded. I even reset the router to factory settings and it hasn't resulted in a successful download.

 

However, I've narrowed it down to my Modem, my ISP, or an issue from Microsoft. At this point, since its not specific to any accounts but it seems to be specific to my household, one of the first two seems likely, and my ISP actually called today asking
to replace our modem, so until that happens, I think I'm at a standstill. Thanks for all the help, and I may be back in a few days.

 

Got a new modem today and tried it out. Downloads are still failing, so it's either my ISP limiting my internet or Microsoft limiting my household(which I'm not sure how they would do that but I have to keep it as a possibility) or some obscure setting
somewhere that I also don't know anything about.

I'm at a loss here guys. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Sorry to hear that you're still dealing with this. Now that you've updated your network.

Have you tried to install those games on another network?

You might want to have the console reconnect to yours again by going to
Settings>Network Settings>(your network)>Configure Network>Additional Settings>Restore to Factory defaults
if you haven't yet.

Once you do that, turn off the console, wait a couple of seconds and then turn it back on and try to connect. Once you have connected see if that helped resolve the issue and if you're able to get the games to install and play the way that they should.

Give those steps there a shot and let us know if that helped with the issue.

Did you already test the network connection inside the 360 settings? Did it throw any errors? Doesn't sound like an internet issue if you're able to download the same games on your Xbox one. Have you tried enabling background downloads and trying to download
with the console turned off?
