Xbox 360 download won’t save on xbox one

I recently purchased an xbox one. I have a subscription to gamepass and xbox live gold. I recently downloaded an xbox 360 game: lego Indiana jones original adventures, from gamepass. The game will not allow me to save any progress. It keeps saying that
I do not have a gamer profile and, therefore, there will be no saves or achievments. I have never owned an xbox 360 and so have not had a gamer profile with a 360. I have created a profile on the xbox one.....should this not suffice? Otherwise, whats the
point of having access to 360 games if you have to start all over every time you quit the game? Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Still not working for me. I have played reach on my xbox one in the past, so I already had a 360 "account". mine just gives me a message saying there is "no saves present on the storage device". any suggestions?

Couple of things.

1. Make sure your password is not longer then 16 characters or you dont have two step verification turned on.

2. Follow these steps:

A. Load up any backwards compatible game

B. Once loaded Hit the start and select buttons (small round buttons on either side of the big xbox button on controller)

C. This will bring up the 360 guide with a choice of download profile It will then ask for your email and password for your account.

This will Download your profile to the 360 emulator and should start saving the game for you.

You may also on the 360 guide have to hit the Y button on the controller this will bring up the screen to sign in also.

mine saves, I think it might be a issue of not having cloud saving turned on

Thats the problem.. The new 360 save will not transfer to the xbox one minecraft edition. The xbox one minecraft edition keeps downloading the first save, even though Ive deleted the first one off of the 360 and off of the xbox one edition.
