Xbox 360 display acting up. Crashes frequent.

From what you describe in your query, there seems to be damage to the console hardware. But also, to rule out a problem in the software, follow the following steps:

"1. With the Xbox on, press the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it turns off completely.

2. Unplug the power cable from the console and wait 30 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cable to your console and turn it on normally.

4. Check if the problem persists, if so, please reset your console to its factory settings keeping your games and applications as follows:

Go to Settings > System > Console Info > Reset Console > Reset and keep games and apps.

This way your console will be reconfigured and you will have to add your account again. No game or application will be deleted, nor will you lose the progress of any game since these are saved in the Xbox Cloud.

5. Check if the problem persists."

I have reported this issue on the forums. I was 1st assuming it was a hack because of a less than happy griefer that frequented that map. Later someone said it was caused by a XBox 360 crash on save.

I'm having the same problem. I have the new 360 slim and have had it for a couple months and it just started acting up. The power bar displayed a yellow light, and when it restarts all four rrod quadrents light up green, then the console restarts.

No I have the original 360, not the 360s and there is not a RROD. I was stating it was acting like there was a RROD, but the actual console itself is not displaying a red ring, or red dash. The only colors on the console is green.

Acts 3 and 4 still crashes even with everything off (except Elective Mode, Show Loot Icons On Drop, and Show Advanced Tips) because there is way too much stuff going on in the environment (thus the dreaded "out of synch disc skipping noise followed by the
game freeze that locks your console; forcing you to turn off your Xbox) for 512 MB of RAM to handle (sorry, just being honest here). I have lost many Legendaries as a result of this and by my estimates, the Act 3 and 4 freezing issue happens about 10% of
the time. I have never had this issue on Acts 1 and 2; which I would say is directly linked to the fact that there isn't a lot of stuff going on in their environments. I have a really bad feeling (I hope that I'm wrong on this one) that when Reaper Of Souls
comes out for the Xbox 360 that Act 5 will suffer from the same issues as Acts 3 and 4.

I'm not really that great with computers / computer programming, but as a gamer I think that if Blizzard locks the maximum resolution to 720p only and completely disabling ALL of the environmental stuff (example: the winged demon things picking up soldiers
in Acts 3 and 4, etc...) with a " Patch Update " that Diablo 3 for the Xbox 360 is going to be crash free.
