Xbox 360 discs are not running on my Xbox One

Hi all. All my Xbox 360 discs are not running at all. I was able to play Mirror's Edge on my Xbox One a couple of weeks ago but now all Xbox 360 are not read by the Xbox One console with the error code 0x80820002. Xbox One game discs, blu-ray movies and
audio CDs are being played perfectly. At the moment I have 3 Xbox 360 discs: Mirror's Edge, Witcher 2, Fallout 3. All are perfectly clean and physically fine. But none of them is working. Any help?

Hi there DeepBrain. Just to clarify, are you using an Xbox One or Xbox 360 console?

Please try running through our steps for
issues playing discs on your Xbox One console or
issues playing discs on your Xbox 360 console.

Are you running into disc reading issues on your Xbox console? Does this occur with one specific disc or multiple discs? Post back and let us know if this is on Xbox 360 or Xbox One so we can further assist!

Have you tried to restart your Xbox One by holding the power button on the console in for 10 seconds until it reboots and try again?

Yup, I tried it as well as unpluging all the cables for 2 minutes and then pluging them back again. The weirdest thing is that the backward compatibility was working with Mirror's Edge but now none of the Xbox 360 discs are running

i have same thing bioshock 1,2,3, not working even when it says it will . and when it does work how comes you always need disk to play once you got update for it when it says it cant read disks make your mind up microsoft .

have i got a xbox one too quick should have waited to next year

Strange. Have you attempted to uninstall one of the games you have already installed eg Mirros Edge then reinstall it again?

Bioshocks 1, 2 and 3 have not yet been released for backward compatibility... they are still upcoming.

Hopefully not much longer coz I'm waiting for these too.

Make sure the disc that you put in are bc, you can download the witcher 2 for free sale the disk to gamestop or online. But you can try to reinstall the games, also clear ya system cache, if that don't work hard reset the system then cut the power for 2
minutes then try again

Some further information.

I installed the game on my XBOX 360 to see what was supposed to happen.

On XBOX 360 you still get the same microsoft store wanting money for the DLC if you only install and play disc 1.

On XBOX 360 if you insert disc 2 it lets you run the expansion installer.

On XBOX One inserting disc 2 simply sets the game running, exactly as if you had inserted disc one, with no option to run the expansion installer.

i cant install disc either even after doing hard reset. its not my disc as it runs fine on 360 and my mates xbox one

It's like putting a PS3 disc in the Xbox 360. They are two completely different systems. In fact, it's more likely that PS4 discs would work in Xbox One than 360 discs.
