Xbox 360 Discontinued!

Well.. As a user who has been with the Xbox 360 console since launch, and also used to frequent the forums under another gamertag (xOBKx) - I feel quite sad at today's news that the Xbox 360 is being discontinued (but will still be supported).

It's been quite a journey over the past 10 years. It was the gaming console that demonstrated online gaming could be brought to the recreational gamer in the living room, and not just the hardcore enthusiast with a high-end gaming PC. Sure it's had its problems,
especially in the early days, but to Microsoft's credit the majority of these were ironed out and the Xbox 360 has arguably been the best games console to date.

I picked up my Xbox 360 controller for the first time in a while recently, and instantly felt familiar and 'at home' with both it, and the console's UI.

What a great 10 years it's been, with hopefully a couple more to come..

Will the original Xbox be discontinued?

They discontinued the manufacturing end when the 360 came out, didn't they? As for repair support, that was discontinued a couple of years ago according to what I have read. That is Microsoft support, of course, and I would guess there are many sources out there for working on any problems with the original Xbox.

Thank you for your continued support with Xbox Live and the Xbox 360 Console, even though microsoft has now discontinued making the Xbox 360 console.

(my daughter has grown up gaming with the Xbox 360 gaming system, she's now 10)

Also my daughter was almost in tears when she hear Microsoft was going to stop making the Xbox 360 and feared they would also end the live service.

She thought she would lose all her online gaming buddies and the online games she loved to play over the years, i even offered to replace her Xbox 360 with the new Xbox One if or when this happens, although she smiled i could tell she was hart broken.

Now we all know Microsoft will continue Live support for the Xbox 360 my daughter will be especially delighted, so a big thank you from Me her father to all at Xbox, because i know you have made my daughters Day.

Thank You Microsoft.

No as it ss discontinued

A lot of xbox 360 apps wont workt as the protocols are defunct

Xbox 360 is no longer supported

And the xbox app doesn't support it

So using an ancient app won't help on Windows since the app was discontinued

Steps are the same as warranty devices, unles is a discontinued device, then it won't be possible to get a service trough Microsoft

Discontinued devices are Xbox 360 and Xbox one fat

Nothing has ever been stated officially as to why the game was discontinued on the Xbox 360. It did affect a lot of fans of the game though.

As to the issue of billing, there is a statement that all purchases are final.

They have stopped making new ones, but existing stock is still being sold and the console is still being supported.
