Xbox 360 disconnects from live when PC screens "wake up"

So I have a very strange issue that is hard to search for a solution for. I've decided to ask here for any ideas.

When I come home from work I move my PC's mouse to turn the screens back on, as I have them set to turn off after 20 minutes. Nearly every single day, if my girlfriend is playing her Xbox 360 Slim (connected via WiFi), she loses connection to Xbox Live. This
is a real pain for her when she is watching Netflix or playing Call of Duty at the time.

I have no idea what could be causing this and I've done some quick searching around for a solution but I can't find anything.

Just say download and it will go to your X360 active downloads when you connect the Xbox 360 to your internet. xbox.com is linked to the Xbox Live servers.

Live Disconnects

You say you get errors when you download something. Could you please try the following to get a usable measurement:

Open up a command prompt. On a Windows PC you do that by pressing "Windowskey + R" and then in the small window enter "cmd" and press "OK". On a Mac or Linux PC simply open up a terminal window.

In that black window now type:

ping www.google.com -t

(If you use a Mac or Linux PC, simply omit the "-t" option).

That should produce a constant stream of replies with numbers.

Now wait until your Xbox console disconnects from Live. Then check the numbers on your PC. Did the numbers significantly change during the moment the Xbox disconnects? Or does the output change altogether?

Is it a wireless mouse? It could be just signal interference.

Wired mouse, wired keyboard. PC is using a wired connection. I did remember that I am using a 32" Samsung Smart TV as a monitor and it connects via WiFi, so I disabled that. We'll see how that works in the coming days.

He is what happened. I put Black OPS into my 360. Started up like it always does. Before it got to the screen to select "Campaign, Multiplayer" I got the "Disconnected from Xbox Live". Then the download screen came up and said "Please wait while update is
applied"

After which Black OPS goes directly to the multiplayer screen. Now if I try playing Black OPS or go back to the Dashboard. I get disconnected from Xbox Live.

i want to hook up my Xbox 360 to the same wireless keyboard i will be using on my multipurpose PC and i want to split the audio that i will be getting from PC and Xbox 360 but be able to hear both Xbox 360 and PC sound at same time just want to switch between
the keyboard without having to disconnect the USB receiver from the PC and Xbox 360 all the time as for video i just simply use two HDMI port on my TV i am using the turtle beach headset wired version which has a long enough cord for me but i don't want to
wake up one morning and be stuck in a tangled mess of wires so as for the keyboard i would like that to be wireless please reply with what i need to do this weather it be a KMV switch or a USB switch

When you say you get disconnected, are you "simply" thrown out of a multiplayer game, or do you specifically get the Toast message (Toast being the pop up messages like when a friend goes online or you get an achievement) that says "Disconnected from Xbox
Live"?

Can you also check the following: On your PC open up a command prompt (on Windows press Windowskey + R, then enter "cmd" in the small window and press OK, on a Mac or Linux PC simply open up a Terminal window).

In the command prompt, enter the following command:

ping www.google.com -t

(when using a Mac or Linux omit the "-t" option).

You should get rows upon rows replies with numbers.

Now go and play on your Xbox.

As soon as you get disconnected look at the PC: Do the numbers on your screen significantly change or is the reply something completely different during the Live disconnection?
