Xbox 360 Disc Drive Issues/Not reading my discs

Alright so I've had my Xbox 360 for the past 7/6 years and it hasn't given me any major problems til date. Right now none of my game discs are being read, and this seems to be happening with every other disc except my REALLY scratched Halo: Reach. It doesn't
seem to want to read any of my discs even though most of them dont have a single scratch on them. The tray also seems to get stuck shut, but only when I don't have a disc in.

The thing that concerns me the most is that when I put the discs in to try and load them, my Xbox will make a horrible grinding noise that sounds like its scratching the disc. When I take it out and look at it, it seems fine. Its sound like the motor is
having trouble or the laser isn't reading the disc, but I cant be sure. I also read that it might be the magnet isn't catching and isn't holding the disc in properly. Again, not sure. I just want to know if anyone else has, or had, the same problem. I have
been told just to get a new Xbox, but I really don't want to give up my Xbox if I can do something to save it. I'm attached to my fossil of an Xbox and would hate to see it stop working yet. I'm going through gaming withdrawl and dying with my Xbox. Help would

if your xbox cant read any discs, go to
support.xbox.com/.../disc-drive-solution

if it still not reading, you need to send it for repair.

 

Sticky disc drive

Sounds like you have to send it in for repairs or buy a new one. You can probably fix it yourself with some online tutorials, but that's up to you. I had issues with my disc drive before I bought the new Xbox 360 S model and it wouldn't read discs. It would open and close the tray, but it wouldn't read discs. So I decided to buy a new one. However, this that you got may be fixable.

 

P.S. I've tried everything that support tells me to, but nada.
