Xbox 360 - convert HDMI input to VGA or RCA output

My TV has no HDMI input, but it does have USB input. Is it possible for be to get an adaptor and use it with the TV?

Does this TV have a VGA or RCA or DVI Output? You can find many HDMI>(Selected Input) Converters almost everywhere. The USB may only be fore Flashdrives and not an actual input for video.

There isn't a way to get the Xbox 360 to convert an HDMI signal to VGA or RCA in the way you're looking to since it doesn't have a way to accept an HDMI signal from the laptop. You'd be better off purchasing an HDMI to RCA or HDMI to VGA converter and using
that to convert the HDMI signal from your Laptop to the older TV directly.

InsanelyDeadly is correct - that converter cable is probably only sending the video information to the DVI. As he stated, a Xbox VGA HD AV Cable would probably been better suited for your purposes. If your monitor has DVI, then you would just need a DVI-VGA
adapter plugged into the monitor. The other solution would have been to invest in a HDMI converter cable that also has the RCA audio outputs - Amazon had a HDMI to VGA with audio plugs for less than $10. You might still need a converter for the audio plugs
to work in the speakers since most monitor speakers use a headphone jack for input and not RCA cable inputs, but those are really cheap. I've already looked into these cables and adapters in preparation for the release of the Xbox One so I can use it with
my current projector.

I realize this post comes more than 2 years after the original question, but I was able to get Minecraft for Xbox 360 to play split screen through my SD television using these two components totaling about $25:

Plug the HD plug into the Xbox, and the audio into the TV. Plug the VGA end of the HD-VGA cable into the VGA-to-RCA converter, connect the Xbox USB port to the 5V power input on the VGA-to-RCA converter, plug the RCA video output into the TV. This tricks
Xbox into thinking it's plugged into a VGA monitor, and allows you to use split screen mode. The resolution is still readable on a 21" SD TV, and $25 is cheaper than an HD TV set.

By the looks (not 100% sure) it wont be HD, as in the details for the item in the link it says .... "Convert the HDMI output port to an analog VGA input with this adapter" which would suggest its downgrading the HD to VGA although most modern VGA cables
will support 1080i
